Heroes or companions are unique troops with individual names, stories, skills, attributes, and equipment (all of which can be chosen by you). Like the player.
Now updated for v1.168 (Should work with some other versions. Only tested with v1.165/v1.168). I know some people like to use previous versions for Mod compatibility. Test it and let me know if it doesn't work with the version you want to use it with. I may be able to modify it to work with that version. I do not have the GOG version, so do not ask. If you have the GOG version of Mount & Blade: Warband, it should work like the Steam version and write your serial key to the registry. That means that if you already have the GOG or Steam version installed, you can download any Retail version of Mount & Blade: Warband from ftp[colon]//ftp.taleworlds[dot]com and install it to a different folder on your computer. It will read your serial key from the registry and just work.Code:

Notes: In order to load the character stat
pointers correctly, you need to enter a town
(not castle or village) and select 'Take a

walk around the streets.' then press [Tab] to
go back to the menu, and select 'Take a walk
around the streets.' again. You know you
did it right if you load into the scene in the
town [NOT] on a horse. After that, all
pointers should be correct except Horse Health
and Horse Max Health. To make sure those are
correct, enter any scene where you start on
your horse (ie. Battle). Also, Infinite Arrows
option only works on normal size bags of
Arrows and Bolts [NOT LARGE BAGS]. If using a
Crossbow, Rapid Fire option will only work if
the Crossbow is in Slot 1 or 2 of your
equipped items. Slot 3 and 4 don't work with
that option for some reason.
Pointers include: Health, Horse Health, Attribute Points and Levels, Skill Points, and Weapon Proficiency Points and Levels. Big thanks to GenesisWorld for this awesome table, all code is his. All I did was update it for v1.168 while maintaining compatibility with v1.165 and making a version that works with the Retail EXE. Make sure you download the correct version for your EXE whether Retail or Steam because there are different offsets in the code and using the wrong version will cause a game crash.
In the future, I may update the Pointers so that they always work without having to jump through any hoops and the Infinite Arrows option so that it works with all bag sizes and all thrown weapons. I know how to do that but it may break version compatibility, meaning a separate table will have to be made for each version of the game. So we will see. I am not as good as GenesisWorld is at debugging and coding ASM.
