Jeff Stephens published an excellent two part article in DGJ some time ago detailing date of production records by serial number for EARLY Sauer guns, but they did not extend to the GDR era if I remember correctly, as the early Sauer guns have been of much more interest to collectors. J.P Sauer and Suhl Shotgun, looking for a general age 99524 is the serial number, all parts match the number, on the barrel the names 'Fluss Stahl, Krupp-Essen' are stamped on. I'm sorry I don't know much more about this gun.
